FAQ

Before you set up.

Do I need a roof rack?

The product uses temporary vehicle attachment points rather than a permanently mounted hard-case system. Your exact setup depends on the vehicle and safe attachment points available.

Is it fully waterproof?

The canopy is coated for practical outdoor use, but ROADEN does not claim a tested hydrostatic-head or certified waterproof rating for this imported product.

Can I leave it up in strong wind?

No. Temporary awnings can create significant wind load. Take it down in strong wind, storms or whenever anchoring becomes unsafe.

Will it fit my SUV or van?

It is a flexible vehicle shelter rather than a vehicle-specific fitted awning. Check your vehicle's dimensions and safe attachment points before use.

What comes in the kit?

The imported kit includes the canopy, support poles, ground pegs, guy ropes and suction-cup style attachment hardware.

How quickly does it set up?

Setup time varies with vehicle, location and conditions, so ROADEN does not make a fixed time claim. Familiarity with the kit will make setup more efficient.

Is it UPF rated?

No certified UPF rating is currently claimed. Use normal sun-safety precautions even when using the shelter.
